At around 11.46am yesterday (10th October), two teenage boys were seen lying down in reclining chairs inside a white Perodua Myvi parked on the side of a road and they were initially thought to be asleep.

However, residents of Kampung Jaya Baru, Kinabatangan, Sabah were shocked when it was discovered that 19-year-old Mohd Fitri Haimin and Mohd Helmi Muhammad were actually dead, reported Astro Awani.

According to Kinabatangan district police chief Supt A. Sahak Rahmat, when police arrived at the scene, the engine was found to still be running while the two teens inside were not responding to knocks on the window. A team of rescuers from the Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Department had to force the car door open to get the two boys out.

The teens were then confirmed dead by a medical officer, who found no physical injuries on the two of them while on the way to Kinabatangan Hospital.
