Today, the Director of Ratchathewi District revealed that the uncle has returned to his accommodation at 5pm. When questioned by the staff about his whereabouts, the uncle said he went to Phranangklao Hospital at 5am for an eye appointment in which he had to wait because of the long queue. Even though his appointment was scheduled to take place in September, the uncle said he wanted to talk to the doctor to bring his appointment forward so that he could be healed faster. The director reached out to the doctor who confirmed that the uncle was present at the hospital. The poor kind-hearted uncle even gave some porridge to the doctor!

When asked why he only returned so late, the uncle said that he visited the Siam Commercial Bank in the afternoon.

Shocked, he discovered that that his account had amounted to a whopping 7 digits, over 1,000,000 baht (RM136,795) from donations made by netizens that were touched by his personal struggle.

His story was so widely spread that many began visiting the uncle’s stall. They would wait patiently despite the long queue, for a chance to taste the uncle’s delicious porridge and help his cause.

All the uncle wanted to do with the money was use it to heal his eyes and rent a house. Bless his heart! ?

For suspicious netizens who doubted the uncle’s backstory, the acting Director of Ratchathewi District can also vouch for the deaths of his two sons. In clearing up these rumours, we urge all netizens to be more considerate about how they respond to the lives of others and the personal journeys people go through. Don’t be so quick to judge others before knowing the full story.

We’re just glad that humanity came together to help this uncle when he needed it most.
