Let’s be honest guys. We’ve all copied a classmate’s answer during an exam at least once before in our lifetime.

But apparently one teacher is getting tired of this cheating habit among his students.

In Thailand’s Songkhla province, a teacher came up with a very creative idea to stop the students from copying off each other’s answers during an exam. He asked his high school students to open up their umbrellas and sit under them while doing the exam.

According to him, this will prevent the students from looking at each other’s answer. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

On the bright side, the colourful umbrellas had created a romantic atmosphere for the students in the classroom. But what if the students start writing answers under their umbrellas?

According to Coconuts Bangkok, the school name was not disclosed in the report. The staff said it had been raining all day and the students have their umbrellas with them. So the teacher asked them to opened up their umbrellas while answering the exam. So much coincidence.

This is not the first time teachers had to ask students to do something like this in exam. Three years ago, another Thai university, Kasetsart University made their students wear anti-cheating helmets made from paper to curb rampant cheating during exams. Don’t cheat in exam la guys, study hard.

These are definitely creative ways to curb cheating. Any Malaysian teachers or lecturers out there who’d like to practice it in Malaysia?
