A 32-year-old man in Thailand went so far as to hurt himself after finding chives in his food, even though he had specifically requested that they be left out.

According to local news outlet Channel 7, when police arrived at the scene, they found Thakorn holding a 30cm knife with a bleeding wound.

A stab wound was found on his leg

The incident took place on April 5 (Saturday) in Napha District, Chonburi Province, when police got a report about a man causing a scene at a convenience store.

Rescuers arrived and found a stab wound on Thakorn’s left leg, which was bleeding. They treated him first and then took him to Chonburi Hospital.

When they asked him what happened, the man said he ordered Pad Thai at a restaurant and specifically asked for no chives. But when the food arrived, it still had chives in it, which left him upset and angry.

The restaurant still asked him to pay for the food

Thakorn ended up throwing the food away, but the vendor still asked him to pay for it.

The disagreement escalated into an argument, which then led to his outburst.

According to Thakorn’s employer, he had just gone out to buy food, and since he wasn’t on any drugs, his boss had no idea what triggered such an extreme reaction.

He tried to calm Thakorn down after seeing him yelling and swinging the knife around. Luckily, no one else was reported injured in the incident.
