This dish is the epitome of all things Malaysian and is often paired with fried chicken, kerang, sotong and more.

Hey, listed as one of TIME magazine’s healthy balanced breakfast meal ok! Which is strange considering the direct translated name for this is “fat rice”.

Of course, besides the aromatic rice, the verdict of a good nasi lemak always boil down to its sambal! Even if the sambal is too spicy, we WILL endure the pain and still chow them down!

By far one of the best things that has been bestowed upon us. This cheese-stuffed Indian bread is practically God sent – some restaurants or mamaks even finish them off with more cheese on top!

I’m sure all of us have dipped our biscuits into a hot mug of Milo or even used the powder as spread on our bread. It’s practically every sekolah rendah kid’s breakfast! Not to mention feeling badass when you ate only the chocolate powder from a spoon.

No matter which way you choose to take your Milo, it’ll still be pure amazing blissful chocolaty-goodness.

4. Ice-Cream

Undeniably the best thing to have during a hot sunny day (which is 365 days in Malaysia) and the best cure for a bad day. Ice cream quite literally soothes the soul and is what every inner child in us wants.

5. Ramly Burger

When we think burgers, Malaysian’s no. 1 choice will be none other than the Ramly Burger. Who else can we depend on besides Abang Burger to save our stomach from late night hungers or cravings??
