This teen needs help for his game addiction, quick!

Recently, a 13-year-old teen from Hangzhou, China jumped off from an apartment building after being scolded by his father. When he woke up in the hospital, the first thing he did totally blew his family away.

According to China Press, the teen named Zhang was severely addicted to an online game called ‘King of Glory’.

During the day of the incident, the father said that his son came home at around 3pm and did nothing except playing ‘King of Glory’ on his smartphone.

“When I (father) came home at 6pm after work, he was still playing on his phone. He didn’t do any revision at all although he had an exam the next day,” the father said.

Seeing his son slacking, he reprimanded Zhang out of love. However, the impulsive teen shockingly rushed to the balcony and jumped off the fourth floor of the apartment, fracturing both his legs upon landing. He even lost his front tooth! There’s no glory in that, isn’t it?

Zhang was rushed to the hospital and the doctor estimated that he needed to stay in the hospital for at least three months given his condition.

Upon waking up, the first thing Zhang said to his father was unthinkable. He shockingly requested to log in into his ‘King of Glory’ gaming account. Wow, just wow.

Besides, while the father was restless thinking about his son’s condition, Zhang who was bedridden got agitated because he couldn’t play the game. During his stay in the hospital, the teen even mumbled something game-related, which his father couldn’t understand.

Apparently the father noticed that his son has developed a deep love for ‘King of Glory’ earlier, but he just didn’t know that the addiction was so severe.

Let’s hope that this incident would be a wake-up call to the teen, otherwise the game addiction might take a toll on his education or even life.
