Another car and several customers at a restaurant were also involved in the accident which left tables overturned and chairs all over the sidewalk.

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) chief Assistant Commissioner Sarifudin Mohd Salleh told Harian Metro that the accident happened at 8:30pm on Sunday and that the incident involved 3 vehicles, 2 pedestrians and 8 restaurant customers who were eating.

Apparently the 57-year-old man was driving his Honda HRV from Petaling Jaya towards the city center when the crash happened.

His vehicle lost control and collided with a Lexus parked on the left shoulder of the road and the impact caused the car to collide with a Perodua Axia parked in front of it.

The Perodua Axia then struck 8 customers who were eating as well as 2 pedestrians.

Meanwhile, a spokesman at the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Operations Centre said that the injured were 3 men and 4 women, all locals, who were eating at the restaurant.

He said that a team was sent to the scene after the fire and rescue station received a distress call at 9:19pm.

He added that all of the victims sustained minor injuries and that they were sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for treatment.
