Taking to social media, this stall owner shared a video of how selling Menu Rahmah items did not work for his restaurant.

Though since its launch, the Menu Rahmah initiative is well received by many eateries in an effort to help feed the B40 group, this could be one example of things not panning out as it should be.

With the caption: “Sorry but I have to stop Menu Rahmah”, the stall owner shared: “Why did I make this decision? Firstly, because of the hardship we had to go through. I am not a restaurateur with a big capital to work with.”

“Secondly, people are not ordering my Menu Rahmah items. I offered chicken based dishes, but could not sell the minimum amount that was set.”

“So I had to discard the menu items that I had on sale. I hope people will understand my plight and why I do not offer the Menu Rahmah anymore.”

Commenting on the video, several netizens pointed out that if the restaurateur is unable to offer Menu Rahmah items, he should not have done it in the first place.

“Nobody is forcing you to take up Menu Rahmah, it is your incentive to help those who are less than fortunate. If it does not work out well for you, you should just take it off of your menu.”

“I don’t know why you are doing this. If this is done for publicity, it looks pathetic.”

With netizens divided, what are your thoughts on this man’s outburst? Share it with us in the comments section below.
