Just when we thought that people are getting more civilised, there is always someone who proves us wrong- like this unidentified person who tied a metal wire around a cat’s body so tightly that it almost split into half.

The Malaysia Animal Association uploaded a video yesterday about the condition of the stray cat, along with a caption telling its back story.

The video is extremely disturbing so please proceed with caution.

This stray cat is usually seen at Block A of Desa Pandan, which is near Ampang. The cat is well-loved and would always receive food from the hawkers in that area, however, there are some people there who do not like it because they think that it is troublesome and also dirty.

The stray male then went missing for a few months and when it reappeared, people saw that there was a wire tied tightly around it’s body. The metal wire was tied neatly, and was so tight to the point that the cat looked like an hourglass.

The Association would like to ask for the help of the public to look for the perpetrator. So, if you guys have any information on what had happened to the cat then please, contact the association via Whatsapp (+601120901097) or Facebook. Don’t worry, your anonymity will be protected!

Other than that, the association estimates that medical costs for the cat will be in the range of RM1,500 because it needs intensive care from a vet and will probably take a few months to be healed completely. So, if you want to contribute, these are the details:

Name in Account : PERSATUAN HAIWAN MALAYSIA
Account Number : 105380001899
Bank : AFFIN BANK BERHAD

Reference : KUCING DAWAI

Do remember to send the transaction details to their hotline on WhatsApp (+601120901097) once the transaction is done. And of course, thank you, kind stranger!

We hope that the association will be able to get the funds they need and that the perpetrator will be caught soon.
