Have you ever gone onto any online shopping platforms and searched for skincare or cosmetic products?
If yes then you might have noticed that there are a lot of products coming from China that are going for dirt cheap. That begs the question of whether it is safe to use or does it contain anything that may cause harmful side effects.
Now, if you’re looking to buy cosmetic products from online stores but you’re sceptical, what we’re about to tell you may help you out.
In order to check if the products are safe for use, you can access the 3Quest system of the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA), to check if the item you’re looking to get was tested and approved by the government.
You can start off by going to this link and searching using the product name.
If the product was tested and approved by the NPRA then it will appear on the list like so and they will be known as “notified cosmetics”.
If it is not on the list, then you may want to think twice or thrice before buying the cosmetic product. According to the website, it is also worth noting that the search result displayed is only applicable on the date and time when the search was conducted.
“The product/cosmetic under NPRA regulatory control status is subjected to changes according to regulatory updates/needs.”
As the QUEST3+ system was established in 2017, the search may come up as RESULT NOT FOUND or is not available / displayed for products registered pre-2017.
This system can also be used for pharmaceutical products such as medicine and health supplements.
We hope that this will be able to help you and if it did, you should send it to your loved ones so that they are aware!
