Dogs are not only men’s best friend but also one of many, many God’s creations. They, too, deserve to share the same space with us and just recently, a Malaysian man decided to accept an unexpected companion – a dog, and share the space with it by having an iftar together.
In a hilarious yet heartwarming TikTok post by @wongafouk, the man, Afiq was enjoying his Iftar alone in Sabah when the furry friend slowly “approached” him from the back, which shocked Azim.
“Oh, a dog! Assalaamualaikum (peace be upon you)!” Azim greeted the dog, and named it Johnny.
Azim then graciously offered the dog one of his Satay by asking, “Do you want some?”
Despite knowing the animal’s incapability of responding, Azim happily shared a random and hilarious conversation with Johnny while it munched on the food and “asked” for more, and this time, his drink, which Azim did not offer.
“This is green tea. I’m not letting you drink this. You’ll get gout and diabetes,” Azim joked with Johnny.
In the video, Azim said that he had given Johnny some of his chicken. Johnny was not the only unexpected visitor when Azim was breaking his fast. There was also a cat, which Azim also generously shared some of his food with the feline.
Azim also gently told Johnny to “sit still and don’t be naughty” when it was barking at the cat.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Azim, who is a backpacker said that he met Johnny at Kundasang, the Ranau district in Sabah where iftar happens earlier around 6:25pm.
Azim was alone at that time and according to him, Johnny has always been around there.
“Johnny is the dog that has always been in the area. That was at a homestay in Kundasang.”
Azim also told WORLD OF BUZZ that he was in Sabah for 1 long week but he only stayed in Kundasang for 2 days. Despite the short time, Azim had fun having iftar and “chit-chatting” with Johnny, and you can watch their conversation in the viral clip below.
@wongafouk Random vibe naik level geng ? dah tak main orang dah kita main Anjing/Kucing ??? Apapon Sabah the best negeri yang aku pernah sampai ???? Love Sabah sampai bila2 ?
Dogs remember the good deeds that people have done to them. With Azim’s absence, we’re sure that Johnny will always remember the iftar with Azim and until they meet again in the future, we hope Johnny stays safe, and all the best in Azim’s solo travel journey!
