Damn, that’s one impressive salary!

According to NOODOU, Singapore Airlines’ (SIA) recruiter team is coming to Malaysia to hire air stewards and stewardesses for their company and their basic salary – including allowances – ranges between SGD4,500 (approx. RM13,699) and SGD5,000 (RM15,222) per month, after completing the training period.

However, before you get that sweet full pay, you will be paid a basic salary, which is typically SGD1,400 (approx. RM4,263), during the training period. Whoa!

Apart from an impressive salary, candidates who become a part of the cabin crew will be entitled to free travel to any SIA destination once every year. Additionally, SIA staff can also enjoy discounted travel whilst working for them.

At this point, you might be wondering – what does it take for one to work with SIA?

Well, their qualifications requirements are pretty basic because candidates can apply for the positions available with an STPM, an SPM, or GCE ‘A’/’O’ level certificate.

That said, you still have to live up to some minimum requirements on your cert, so here are the basic qualifications needed for you to be a part of the SIA cabin crew:

1. STPM/GCE ‘A’ graduates.

  • At least two principal level passes and 2 subsidiary passes or equivalent.

2. SPM/GCE ‘O’ graduates.

  • A minimum of 5 credits and relevant working experience.
  • If the candidates have an SPM cert, they must have a minimum of 5 credits and at least a B in English, as well as working experience.

On top of that, candidates with a degree are also encouraged to apply. Nice!

Aside from basic qualifications, other requirements which are needed to apply for the above-mentioned positions are as follows:

  • Candidates have to be Malaysian or Singaporean citizens.
  • The minimum age of employment is 18 years old and above.
  • The minimum height requirement for female candidates is 1.58m and male candidates have to be at least 1.65m. The height requirement is crucial so that the air stewards/stewardesses can carry out SIA’s safety and emergency procedures onboard.
  • Candidates must be fluent in English and possess good communication skills.

SIA Airlines’ walk-in interview will take place this Saturday (11 May 2019) between 8.30am and 3.00pm at the following venue:

  • JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Level 4, Starhill 2, 183, Jalan Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur.

Candidates who are interested in this job should bring along the following documents:

  • Completed application form
  • Two passport-sized photographs
  • Original and photocopies of birth certificate, identity card, passport and education certificates.

On that note, candidates may want to refrain from bringing a companion to the interview because of space constraints. Take note, guys!

Well, those are some lucrative salary numbers and interesting benefits, don’t you think? That said, don’t forget to share this article with your friends and family whom you think could benefit from this information.
