Taking to Twitter, this netizen shared a story of how one customer claimed that he was sold a faulty battery by the shop, which resulted in his car facing major mechanical issues.

In the CCTV footage, the confrontation revolved around the customer’s anger as the employee pushed the customer around.

In the Twitter update, the shop owner shared, “As I passed my shop, I saw my workers installing a car battery outdoors. Since I was around the area, I decided to pay my shop a visit before this man arrived and began pushing me around, as evident in the CCTV.”

“He claimed that I sold him the battery on 11th July 2024 and that his car faced problems as it kept dying while he drove his car. I did the necessary checks, but the customer kept on harassing me, trying to make claims on the battery, despite the fact that the battery did not come from my shop.”

“He showed me my shop’s receipt but the battery did not match the barcode and laser marking,” he explained.

He shared, “I explained to him a number of times that if the battery is damaged, we will replace it, as it is still under warranty – but the battery he is using is not ours.”

“There is no reason for us to argue, as the factory where the battery was made will replace the battery with no charge. The problem is, this was not the same car battery that was bought at our shop, as it may have been swapped out by the customer.”

“I did not want to prolong the argument and simply gave him a new battery and told him to leave. However, despite installing a new battery, he still had car problems,” he added.

“I knew from then on, the customer had problems with his alternator. The battery that he swapped out did not have any issues. There is a big possibility that the car was made to wade through a flood, causing his alternator to become damaged.”

At the end of the revelation, the shop owner said that he could have charged the angry customer under Section 323 of the penal code, as a gift for his failure to control his emotions.
