WATCH: Paramotor Collides With Electric Cables Before Crashing Into Paddy Field in Melaka

A video clip has gone viral showing a paramotor operator crashing into an electric cable before plunging into a paddy field during an aerial demonstration at the Duyong Cultural International Run 2025 programme.

The incident was captured by visitors in an 18-second video that showed the tense moment when the operator was believed to have lost control.

At the start of the recording, the operator can be seen approaching the running area before hitting an electric cable and crashing into the paddy field.

The video shows the crowd, including race participants, stunned before rushing to assist the victim.

It is understood that the man involved escaped without any serious injuries.

Importance of stricter safety procedures

A Facebook user, believed to be the operator, using the name Solo Ambush, also posted that they would go live to explain the incident.

The incident sparked heated debate among netizens questioning the route chosen for the aerial demonstration.

“Did no one bother to help.”

Another user said, “How could the pilot not see that thick cable?”

Several social media users also stressed the importance of stricter safety procedures for future aerial demonstrations.
