‘Mat Rempit’ or illegal street racers have been making headlines for all the wrong reasons lately, from the arrested married couple in Kelantan to a gang of mat rempit’s noisy activities disturbing patients of Kota Bharu Hospital.

Now, another video involving a mat rempit has gone viral, this time with his unsuccessful attempt of doing a ‘wheelie’ while riding his motorbike, endangering both himself and other road users.

Shared by the Inforoadblock Facebook page, the video has been viewed over 9,000 times and garnering over 612 likes as of the time of writing.

The video, dashcam footage believed to have been taken at Pekan Yan Kechil in Yan, Kedah, shows a man riding on his motorcycle, likely to be a Honda EX5 at an intersection.

The man then turned right at the intersection while speeding and randomly decided to do the dangerous wheelie manoeuvre with his motorbike.

However, after mere seconds of doing the stun, he suddenly loses the balance of his motorcycle and crashes to the ground.

Lucky for the rider, the vehicle behind him, which the video is recorded from is a fair distance away and was able to brake right in front of the self-made crash.

Thankfully, the man instantly got back to his feet after the crash and brought his motorcycle to the side.

A closer look at the footage shows that the motorcycle suffered some damage, with a small chunk, probably its side-mirror can be seen on the road.

You can watch the whole video here:

In the comments section of the video, many netizens made fun of the mat rempit’s self-made crash, with many saying that he got shame and pain from what had transpired.

One commenter even jokingly said that for a mat rempit, this incident must be really shameful and if it was him, he would’ve sold the motorcycle and just use the bus moving forward.

So, what do you guys think of the incident? Share your thoughts with us in the comments!
