It’s no secret that the government is doing their best to encourage all Malaysians to register for the Central Database Hub (PADU).

Though, it appears now that the Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli might be in hot water with the people for how he’s going about that.

Taking to his Twitter account, Rafizi Ramli encouraged the general public to quickly register for PADU before the deadline, which is March 31 (Sunday), or risk being excluded for government aid.

Threat 5

He wrote, “13 days before PADU registration and updates close. After March 31, 2024, administrative data from the government department’s updated database will be used for the purpose of government programs including the retargeting of subsidies.”

“If you do not update your data before March 31, 2024, the existing data in the government database will determine your eligibility to participate in government programs and assistance. Regretting now is a lesson, regretting later is useless.”

Threat 6

Threat 7

This rubbed many the wrong way as his words were seen as a threat

Threat 3

Threat 4

“It’s like a threat to the people. If you don’t register, you find out later what’s going to happen. Why is there a need to threaten the people? Did the people not elect you?”

Threat 2

“Threatening the people isn’t a smart move, YB.”

Threat 1

“Is that a threat?”
