Bomb Explodes in Nilai Parking Lot, PDRM Discovers Large Amount of Explosives Hidden in Shoplot Unit

A bomb reportedly exploded in the parking lot of a commercial area in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, at about 6 AM this morning (22 December). This led the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to discover several explosives, including a second bomb, which the authorities safely detonated.

According to a report by Sin Chew Daily, this incident took place at the commercial area in Desa Palma, Nilai, where at least one person was injured in the initial explosion.

Preliminary investigations suggest that a suspect may have accidentally detonated a homemade bomb in the parking lot before driving away from the scene, as blood stains were found.

A search led to the authorities discovering a second bomb as well as a large amount of explosives hidden in a unit on the upper floor of a shoplot in the commercial area.

They also preliminarily identified a residence believed to be connected to suspects, where they found materials related to homemade explosive devices.

The identities of the suspects and details of the case are still under further investigation and confirmation.

The police will continue to patrol the area to ensure that there are no remaining explosives.
