Yesterday (10 December), it was reported that a man was allegedly fined RM1,000 on 8 December for not wearing a mask while standing outside his home which caused the man to be very unhappy.
However, the police have now come forward to refute his claims, confirming that the man wasn’t in front of his home, but was taking shade under a hut while not wearing a mask.
According to Oriental Daily, North Klang district police chief ACP Nurulhuda Mohd Salleh issued a statement revealing that the 65-year-old man was not fined in front of his house, but at a hut where the police found him.
She pointed out that although the hut was not far from his home, the man was not wearing a mask at the time.
Photos of the incident were also revealed where the man was seen sitting on a white plastic chair under the hut while talking to a police officer.
