There were no signs of foul play

Abdul Rozak said initial investigations showed the victim was a 20-year-old local woman who fellĀ to the ground floor of the apartment.

Police believe she likely fell from her unit on the 11th floor of the building.

“There were no signs of foul play at the scene. Her body has been sent to the Penang Hospital Forensic Department for a post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death,” he said.

Meanwhile, New Straits Times reported that the case has been classified as a sudden death, and a Sudden Death Report (SDR) has been opened for further investigation.
