PDRM in Sarawak Arrest 6 Men Over Armed Fight That Damaged a Honda Civic in Mall’s Parking Lot

Violence can never resolve an issue, as getting into a fight will just land you into more trouble. A group of men in Miri, Sarawak was recently nabbed by PDRM after they were seen damaging a car in the parking lot of a shopping mall in Miri.

In the video shared by the Facebook group Borneo Network, a shirtless man was seen hitting the windscreen of a Honda Civic and its rear glass, while another man in black was seen kicking the car repeatedly. People were also seen surrounding the scene to witness and record the incident.

The incident took place yesterday (January 8) and PDRM in Miri received a report about the matter around 11 am. The video has since circulated on social media and it did not take long for the PDRM to locate the suspects. As of yesterday evening, 6 men have been arrested.

Miri police chief, ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said that the men are aged between 19 and 34. According to Borneo Post Online, the matter is currently being investigated under Section 148 of the Penal Code for rioting with weapons, and Section 427 of the Penal Code for mischief.

At the time of writing, the motive has yet to be determined, and PDRM urged the public not to speculate on the incident which will interfere with the investigation.
