Migui played an action/role-playing game called Ring Fit Adventure where players move their characters forward by walking or jogging in place and may need to traverse obstacles by doing exercises such as squats or by squeezing the ring.

Within 30 days, Migui went from 78kg to 69kg!

“I regularly check my weighing scale at home and my current weight sits at around 69 kilograms. My weight is within the ideal BMI for a guy with a height of 5′ 6,” Migui said.

He shared that he had been overweight for several years and had tried losing weight by cycling to work and playing a boxing game on Nintendo Switch. But none of them seemed to work until he started playing Ring Fit Adventure.

“I figured that Ring Fit Adventure might be a better motivator than the game mentioned earlier. True enough, it did work!” he said.

However, we all know that losing weight is not all about exercise. One’s diet plan plays a huge role in helping one lose weight, and that’s what Migui took into consideration too!

Besides taking the effort, patience and discipline to exercise, Migui also ate less carbs daily and kept to an eating schedule.

“The diet tips I would like to share is to cut carbs in your daily consumption. I usually stick with 1 cup of rice a day and no more meals after 7pm. Combining this with Ring Fit Adventure helped me reduce my numbers,” he shared.

Well, having fun is certainly a good motivator to exercise! If you think exercising regularly is a hard habit to keep, try finding a way to make it fun.
