A nurse in Thailand was left completely shattered when she stopped at an accident scene to provide assistance, only to find her boyfriend was the victim who had died.

According to a report by The Thaiger, a white Mitsubishi Pajero had collided with an electrical pole in the Wat Toom sub-district of Ayutthaya, Thailand, at around 12:45 AM on Saturday (6 September), leaving the front of the vehicle completely destroyed.

Considering the driver of the vehicle was trapped inside, rescue workers from the Ayutthaya Ruam Jai Foundation and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Hospital used cutting equipment in their attempt to save the victim.

During this time, the nurse noticed the accident and stopped her vehicle to provide assistance. However, she immediately broke down in tears upon noticing that the accident victim was her boyfriend.

It turns out that the boyfriend had gone to the hospital where the nurse works to wait for her to finish her shift. Due to them driving separate vehicles, the boyfriend had left the hospital about 5 minutes before the nurse.

She didn’t recognise her boyfriend’s vehicle when she stopped to help out of professional obligation.

Despite the nurse’s efforts in administering CPR during the journey in the rescue vehicle in an attempt to resuscitate him, the boyfriend was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.

His body has since been transferred to the Central Institute of Forensic Science in Pathum Thani for an autopsy.
