Food trucks in Malaysia have been growing steadily in recent years, evolving into mobile eateries that serve a variety of dishes like freshly caught seafood, gourmet burgers, delicious desserts, and more.
In a recent viral post sparking discussion among netizens, a Facebook group called Kereta Kita shared an image featuring a woman and her unique food truck.
“The car serves us, not the other way around”
The caption of the post reads,
“Rarely do you see someone doing business with an MPV vehicle, especially selling drinks and food. Hopefully, her sales are doing good.”
In the post, the car owner is seen selling food and drinks near Jalan Raja Laut in Kuala Lumpur. Inside the car, there’s an ice bucket filled with cold drinks, and the trunk is packed with a variety of foods.
One of the ways to make ends meet
The woman in the picture is seen leaving the trunk of her MPV open, with plenty of food hanging. She even went so far as to put up a banner hanging from the trunk, displaying a long list of menu items for customers to choose from.
Netizens in the comments are speculating that owning a luxury vehicle suggests either her business is thriving, allowing her to afford such a vehicle, or that she’s doing her business to cover hefty monthly car loan payments.
Regardless of the reason, netizens are showing her a lot of love and support for her efforts down in the comment section!
“We rarely encounter people with such a mindset. Hats off to you, sister! You’re truly exceptional. If we invest in something we can’t afford, it’s best to make it work for us. Buying an expensive vehicle and then struggling to buy basic necessities like food defeats the purpose.”
“I too will always ensure that my car is paid for every month with the extra income from my side job. Once my income is stable, I can invest.”
“I’ve come across this lady at Jalan Tar before; she also sells drinks. Her drinks are really worth it. They’re affordable, satisfying portions, and delicious.”
“When you’ve already bought something but your income gets stuck halfway, forcing you to find another way to make ends meet. But whatever the case, hopefully she and her business are doing well.”
“Good on her for making the most of her resources. Perhaps she and her family understand their needs well. Let’s think positively about her. She serves as an inspiration to me and my family.”
Kudos to the woman for making ends meet, no matter what job she’s doing!
