A Reddit post is garnering attention among Malaysians after a user posted a suggestion that Caucasian men should come to Malaysia, instead of going to Thailand, to find women.
Netizen, user392747, believed to be a Malaysian Chinese man, took to Reddit’s r/thepassportbros to share a post titled ‘If you’re a white guy Passport Bro planning to go to Thailand, don’t. Come to Malaysia instead.’

In the post, he suggested that Malaysia would be a better option for Caucasian men to find their “target demographics, which are local fair-skinned ethnic Chinese Christians, Catholics or Buddhists”, adding that these women and their parents would be more accepting of “foreign, white husbands”.
“I have seen plenty of successful marriages like these. For example, one of my son’s classmates’ dads is white. He’s just a thin, average-looking, average height, not muscular white guy. And his wife is a thin, not-bad-looking, maybe 7 out of 10, local ethnic Chinese woman,” he further explained.
Providing strategies
The netizen went on to share advice on where and how Caucasian men can land themselves a “traditional wife” in Malaysia. This includes avoiding nightclubs and dating applications such as Tinder.
“Also, you can try to go window shopping in any of the large shopping malls, or dine at any restaurant. If you see a pretty salesgirl or waitress that you fancy, just ask her out. This is a better and safer way to find a nice girl,”
“Nice girls here don’t use Tinder dating applications or frequent nightclubs.”
He ended his post by pointing out that Malaysia is the 3rd richest country in Southeast Asia, hence marrying a local ethnic Chinese Malaysian would mean that Caucasian men would not need to support these women’s families.
Ewwwwws all around
The post has since made its way to X, where Malaysians shared their disgust over the whole situation. Netizen, Nana, shared the post while using puking emojis to convey her feelings over it.
