This netizen took to TikTok to congratulate the local government, currently in charge of Cameron Highlands, for finally patching up the town’s roads, pending the Sultan’s visit to the area.

In her social media input, she writes that the only way for locals to see improvements in the local infrastructure is when VIPs roll into town.

“Rumours are going around that the Sultan will be rolling into town,” he said.

“Why do I say so? Because right now you can see areas where they want to fix are being restricted public access.”

Turning her camera to roadworks taking place, here is what her other correspondent had to say.

“Good job guys, really good job. It took you a year to patch that pothole up.”

Let’s hope that the local authorities take this as a wake-up call to do better in the future.
