A Malaysian man recently shared his encounter with two alleged transgender women at a gas station, preventing them from entering the ladies’ room.

The man said he stopped both individuals from entering the facility because his wife was in the washroom.

In his viral Threads post, the man, who insisted that he was trying to protect his wife, claimed that he warned the two individuals about using the facility and told them to use the men’s washroom instead.

“My wife is in there! Go to the men’s washroom, and don’t pretend that you can’t identify your own gender!”

“It’s not safe now to enter the washroom”

The man further claimed that he heard the two individuals speaking in Thai, seemingly expressing dissatisfaction after he denied their entry into the washroom. He added that he would’ve acted more harshly if both individuals insisted on entering the washroom.

The man also reflected on public safety issues, saying that entering the washroom today is not as safe as it used to be.

“What the hell, Malaysia? It’s not even safe now for women to enter the washroom. Men can become victims, too,” he said in his post.

Malaysians share their two cents

In the comment sections, some social media users also shared their bad experiences entering the ladies’

“I heard a deep voice before I saw the transgender woman talking. I told them politely that they were in the ladies’, but they looked at me with a judging expression.”

“As women, we have to prepare something to protect ourselves. I had a bad experience in a mosque’s toilet, and the construction worker asked for a chit chat with another woman while standing outside the washroom.”

What would you do if you encountered such a situation?
