It is now January 2022 which means that it is time for children to get back to school.
For 11-year-old Nur Amirah who resides in Terengganu, she will be entering and learning the standard 5 syllabus this year.
In a series of photos by BERNAMA we can see that, unlike the other kids, Amirah was carried into the school by her father on her 1st day of a new school term.
The reason behind it is that she has a physical disorder named ataxia.
According to NHS, ataxia is a type of physical disorder that is associated with movement. So, those who have ataxia have trouble moving parts of their body, talking, swallowing or balancing.
It is currently unknown how many people in Malaysia is suffering from this condition but in the USA, it is estimated that it impacts about 15,000 to 20,000 people.
After seeing the series of heart touching photos, many netizens were commending both the parent and daughter.
“Congratulations to the father and the daughter for still trying hard to go to school. May the families’ problems be solved and the daughter to excel in her studies.”
“Congratulations dad, it’s great that your daughter wants to go to school. Hopefully, she gets better soon.”
“The love of a father.”
“It’s wistful to see… the love the father is giving towards this child of Heaven.”
Seeing Nur Amirah and her father, we reminisce about the good old times spent with our parents when we were younger.
We know that a parent’s love knows no bounds and they are always willing to do anything for their children unconditionally even when they have grown up.
So, if you have not been home for a while, maybe you should go and visit your parents. If you plan on doing so, don’t forget to test yourself first to keep everyone safe!
