Living in condominiums or high-rise buildings has its perks and also disadvantages, depending on your outlook.

We all know too well, that certain rules applied and maintained by the building’s management are meant for the convenience of all tenants, which include delivery arrangements, house renovations and the infamous rule of not using your balcony as a BBQ pit.

Give this video a watch.

Detecting one of his neighbours risking a bout with the building management when he set up a BBQ pit on his balcony, this netizen decided to share this video of his response to the matter.

“Wow, I can’t believe that he is doing it – setting up a BBQ pit on his balcony.”

Probably noticing it by the smell of smoke or a cooked meal, he continued.

“If he is allowed to do it, I think I’ll start a satay business on my own balcony.”

Taking to the comments section, here are a few selected comments from netizens.

“I never knew that you are not allowed to BBQ food on your balcony.”

“The BBQ part is not a problem, but the smoke it creates tends to be a problem.”

One thing we need to remember, unlike terrace houses or your traditional housing area set up, the act of grilling food barbecue-style, is not a big problem, but it is different in the setting of a condominium or high-rises like this.

Why not just use the BBQ facility next time round? What are your thoughts on the matter? Share it with us in the comments section below.
