A lot of times, we hear about how Malaysians are very kind and friendly and we do agree with the statement.
However, a Malaysian in Johor talked about his experience on TikTok when his car broke down in Johor Bahru.

Abdullah Jamadi, a masseur, shared a 24-second clip of him at the side of the road with his car.
In that video, he said that his car broke down in the middle of the road and he tried to push it to the side but it was too heavy to do it alone. He tried for 20 minutes but no one came and helped him, it was also drizzling at that time.
“When I pushed the car, no one extended a helping hand. Everyone just went past me.”
However, at last, someone did help him.
“Do you know who helped me? Those who were driving beat-up cars, those who were in need and foreigners in Malaysia.”
After that, he laughed loudly at the side of the road before ending the video.
Many netizens commented and said that this is the cold, hard truth.
“This is the reality of life.”
“Yes, I knew this from a long time ago.”
Others shared how they experienced similar situations.
“That’s right. That day, I was riding my motor on the roadside and it broke down. A FoodPanda rider came and helped me push it. Thank you FP rider!”
All in all, the majority of the netizens believe that the ones who helped Abdullah Jamadi were wonderful people.
“Great people with good hearts helped you!”
We totally agree that the ones who helped are great people. This has inspired us to be more sympathetic and to lend a helping hand whenever needed.
