A highly discussed fact, many often regard cats as one of the smartest animals to grace planet Earth – and it’s no shocker considering some of the things they inherently know how to do. Take this Malaysian cat owner for example, who shared details about a pretty neat trick his pet cat organically learnt how to do.
Malaysian cat owner Fatil Kento recently posted a video to his TikTok account @ffjkento of his pet cat named Si Tiger, whom he calls Tiger for short, after the animal learnt how to open the front grill of their house by himself. In the video, Fatil showed how Tiger often balances himself between a gap in his front door and the grill, while using his feet to push the handle of the grill down, thereby opening it.
At first, Tiger tries staring at his cat dad for a moment, meowing once or twice to see if Fatil would open the door for him. After an unsuccessful try, he takes matters into his own paws by climbing the grill and pressing down on the grasp. As soon as it opens, Tiger drops to the floor and casually struts out.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Fatil credits Tiger’s abilities to his innate intelligence, saying that he often observes Fatil and his movements around their home.
“It is very easy for him to learn new things. For example, I taught him how to salaam just once, and he knows how to do it now. Whenever I ask him to come home, he obeys. Even if I let him loose for awhile, he knows to come back by himself at the proper time,” said Fatil to WORLD OF BUZZ.
Praising Tiger for his intelligence, many people couldn’t help but make some jokes in the comments section, saying that he might even go out and bring things home due to his newfound independence.
“Hahaha, he’s so clever! But it’s also dangerous. After this, he will be smart enough to buy his wet food from the pet shop,” wrote one user.
