For some people, it takes guts to do some things alone, such as going to the movies or dining in alone. Doing these without the companion of others means leaving the comfort zone but to those who are used to spending time with themselves, they can agree that it feels therapeutic.
Just recently, on his TikTok post @doskoi92, Malaysian man Zarif was going about his business and enjoying his steamboat meal all by himself. However, he noticed that a lady with her friends at the table nearby was discreetly recording him for dining in alone. Steamboat meals are usually enjoyed in big groups but of course, if you find comfort in doing so alone, there’s nothing wrong about it!
Zarif, however, was not angry about it. She did not approach the ladies at the table for doing so but in return, he posted this video response and jokingly took the opportunity to “promote” himself and told people that he was looking for a partner.
“To the lady who recorded me, you should’ve mentioned that I’m a single, introvert man who can cook. I’m also caring and I don’t smoke.”
Zarif also stated in his caption that many of his peers have already started a family but not him.
“Please, guys. My friends are already carrying their children and I’m still carrying kittens.”
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Zarif, who turned 24 this year said that he is used to dining in alone at restaurants, and it’s not entirely because he is lonely. Let’s just say he likes to take his sweet time.
“I don’t like to rush when I’m eating, and I find comfort in spending time with my own sometimes.”
Zarif also told WORLD OF BUZZ that he believed that the ladies knew their recording move was busted when 1 of the ladies immediately put down her phone when Zarif looked at them.
“That’s why I said, if they were going to post it, make sure to mention the things I have said,” he added.
