M’sian Mum Regrets Giving 2yo Son Junk Food After He Develops Cancer Symptoms
We all know fast food isn’t the healthiest option out there and it’s best to eat a balanced diet for a healthy body. This is important especially for young kids as their bodies are still growing and their immune systems aren’t as strong as an adult’s.

If you consistently feed your child with junk food, then they won’t grow up to be strong and healthy. This Malaysian mother, Amy, shared the experience of another mother who called her and lamented about finding cancer symptoms in her two-year-old child. That must have been devastating! Amy also said that the mother has thalassemia and often gave junk food to her kid, but now deeply regrets it.
The panicked mother called Amy and said that her child was having a fever on and off, and had developed tiny lumps at his neck along with a swollen tummy. She tried to console the mother and asked her to bring the toddler for a checkup. Later, the devastated mother confirmed that the doctor said her son was indeed having cancer symptoms.

The inconsolable mother said, “The doctor told me that my son is having cancer symptoms such as small swelling below the neck and back of ears, abdomen distension, runny nose and fever. How can I stay strong through this? I feel like fainting.” Amy was curious why the woman’s son suddenly had such symptoms and proceeded to probe her further.
Amy asked her how was her son’s diet and was shocked to hear the mother answer, “I usually stocked up on packet drinks and soft drinks at home and would give him junk food as well. I have a history of thalassemia as well.” Amy was shocked to hear that she prepared such an unhealthy diet for her child, especially since they had such an unfortunate medical history.

In the report, it can also be seen that the boy’s family has a history of leukemia. She advised parents out there, saying that they should always take care of their children’s health and make sure they have a balanced diet, especially with an unfavourable medical history.
“It doesn’t matter if we are labelled as fussy parents who don’t allow our children to eat this or that, it’s your child so you should know what is best,” she said. Amy added that she hoped the mother would stay strong to get through this ordeal and advises parents to take good care of their children.
Stay healthy and maintain a balanced diet, especially for your kids!
