Married Malaysian influencers, Aliff Teega and Aisyah Hijanah were recently caught by SPRM for misusing public donation funds. The pair was detained for 6 days before their release and during the weekend, they had a lot to share on TikTok live about their experiences.

According to the videos, the pair had nothing but fond words for the SPRM officers. Aliff said he took it as a “life lesson” and after 30 years of living a lavish lifestyle, it was a reminder from God when they had to escape the fancy lifestyle for nearly a week. Regardless, the pair revealed that SPRM officers had been kind towards them during their detainment.

“Whatever they ate, we ate”

In the live video, Aliff said Aisyah and him were seated inside an air-conditioned room and they were treated professionally.

“I was a little sick, and the officers were kind enough to send me to the clinic,” Aisyah added.

Aliff also said that they didn’t have concerns when it came to meals because they got to eat whatever the officers were eating.

“If the officers had chicken rice, we had chicken rice. If they had burgers, we had the same thing.”

Aisyah also said that they have not been proven guilty yet and they were only detained to assist with investigations.

“I guess people think you’re guilty if you’re cuffed and dressed in detainee uniform. These were all merely standard procedures.”

The pair were released on a bail of RM200,000.

Netizens responded

“Please arrest them again because it sounds like they had fun.”

“We don’t want to hear about your stories of being detained. We want to know where the public donation funds have gone?”

“Hilarious isn’t it… they had the best time getting interrogated. Food was good too.”

“They look like they had fun getting arrested.”
