“He waited 3 years” M’sian Overjoyed After Finally Getting Job As a GrabFood Rider

As if it weren’t hard enough to secure a job, the Covid-19 pandemic has undoubtedly made things much more difficult.

Although the job of a food delivery rider is often looked down upon by some people, many Malaysians have resorted to working as food delivery riders in order to make ends meet.

Recently, a TikTok video has gone viral as it featured a man’s joy and genuine excitement after receiving the news that he’ll start his new job as a GrabFood rider.

The heartwarming moment was captured by his friend @mateddy7792 who shared the video of his friend running around excitedly whilst carrying his new green delivery bag around.

According to the poster, his friend waited three years to finally become an official rider for the food delivery service.

“After three years of waiting, his dream of becoming a Grab(Food) rider finally came true,” reads the post.

Although it may not seem like much, the excitement displayed by the man has warmed the hearts of many. It is assumed that this news have come at the right time for the man, who might have been struggling to secure a job.

 

Netizens are equally overjoyed by the good news

The video has gone viral and has amassed over 3.3 million views as well as 242,300 likes on TikTok. The comments section of the video was also flooded with netizens who congratulated the man and left uplifting words of encouragement.

Many users commented on how adorable it is to see the man running full of joy and prayed for him to be blessed with opportunities.

One user said, “So happy to see him get a job.”

The video even caught the attention of Grab Indonesia who commended the man and said, “We hope that everything goes well for you in the future and please take care.”
