Parents are the closest figures who have been there since the moment we were born. For a child who spends most of his time with his parents, it’s definitely tough to be away from 1 of them even for just a couple of days.
On her TikTok account @saqinahmansor, Saqinah shows how much it meant for her son, Sayf when he saw his dad again after nearly 5 months when they last saw each other. Saqinah’s husband, Syafiq works offshore, which means not coming home for months is common in the household. In the clip, Syafiq is seen getting ready by the car door to surprise Sayf, who was at the passenger door and unaware of his father’s presence.
Sayf was sharing about his day with Saqinah but stopped immediately when he was distracted by the knock at the window.
“Assalamualaikum, Encik (Peace be upon you, mister)”, Syafiq jokingly greeted his beloved son who was ecstatic to see him.
Sayf immediately got out of the car and kissed his dad’s hand before hugging him.
“You’re all grown up!” Syafiq told Sayf, who wouldn’t let him go.
The heartwarming homecoming continued when Sayf couldn’t hold his tears back and cried on the spot because he missed his father. A lot.
Syafiq kissed his son on the head repeatedly to comfort him and assured Sayf that it was all okay now by saying, “It’s alright. Daddy’s home.”
“It was his 1st time crying”
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Saqinah said that Sayf, who is 8 this year has never cried previously when he saw his dad coming home. Kids don’t lie and their emotions say a thousand words. However, Sayf’s parents were shocked by his emotions too.
“He has never cried in the previous homecomings. So we were shocked too this time. We planned the surprise without expecting Sayf to cry,” Saqinah told WORLD OF BUZZ.
