The victim, who had dozed off during the journey, awoke to find the man’s hand on her leg. She managed to record the incident using her mobile phone and confronted the suspect, who claimed he was unaware of his actions as he had been asleep. Despite apologising, the suspect allegedly repeated the act, prompting the victim to report the matter to the bus driver.

Another passenger reportedly witnessed the incident and confirmed that the suspect was awake and had intentionally touched the victim.

The suspect was detained upon arrival at the Melaka Sentral terminal at approximately 8:30 pm. The case is being investigated under Section 354 of the Penal Code for assault or use of criminal force with intent to outrage modesty.
