The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MET Malaysia) has taken to its Facebook page to warn of a Level 1 heatwave for seven places across Peninsular Malaysia.
They wrote, “Hot weather status update, October 24 (Thursday) at 6am. There are 7 areas in the Peninsula that are at a Level 1, namely Larut & Matang and Kuala Kangsar in Perak, Gombak and Petaling in Selangor, Wilayah Persekutuan Putrajaya, and Maran and Temerloh in Pahang.”
“(At this) alert level, daily maximum temperatures of 35 to 37 degrees Celsius (are expected) for at least 3 consecutive days.”
They also encouraged people to visit their website for daily updates on heat waves and more.
