Gym-goers spotted the thief and brought him back to the gym

At the time, the thief broke into the gym by cutting the lock and proceeded to steal the gym’s IPS system, batteries, cables, and other equipment, all of which were captured on CCTV.

The gym owner later revealed that after identifying the suspect, several gym-goers began searching for him. On July 9, they spotted the man at Kutupalong Market and brought him back to the gym.

However, the owner wasn’t present when they brought him in and instructed the gym-goers not to harm the thief.

The thief was punished through a workout

Following the owner’s instructions not to harm the suspect, the gym-goers got creative and decided to punish the thief by making him do exercises.

After about four minutes of various workouts, all while being recorded, the thief suddenly jumped from the third floor of the building onto a tin-roof structure and made a run for it.

According to the gym owner, the man’s identity is still unknown. However, the thief allegedly admitted to being a drug user and claimed he resorted to stealing to support his addiction.
