Having a sweet tooth is a totally normal thing but due to the health risks of sugar, it is best to only consume it in moderation.
Though, we believe Malaysians didn’t get that memo.
Netizen, Dean of Deen, took to his Twitter account to showcase a vendor making a local drink called ‘Soda Gembira’ or ‘Happy Soda’, which is basically a mixture of a carbonated drink and condensed milk.
He wrote, “Maybe those who drink this, their tongues are numb to the taste of sweetness.”
In the video shared, the vendor can be seen pouring condensed milk into a plastic bag, directly from the can.
Then he added a green-coloured carbonated drink before shaking the plastic bag to mix the two together.
The vendor then added ice and the drink was complete.
Many have since shared their concern over the drink.
“Soda Gembira drink. Happy now, suffer in sickness later.”
“The quickest way to book this private vehicle, an electric wheelchair (because with diabetes comes the risk of lower limb amputation).”
“Good job, Malaysians! This time we are the number 1 in the world. Number 1 country for diabetes. Oh yeahhhh!”
“Diabetes sends their regards.”
