It’s no secret that smoking and vaping inside eateries is not allowed and has been enforced by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH).

Hence, it is baffling that there are still some out there who openly smoke and vape at restaurants, causing a nuisance to the other customers around them.

The 我们是马来西亚人 We are Malaysians Facebook page recently showcased a man who had decided to openly vape in an eatery (which isn’t even an open air space), inside of Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur. What makes this worse is that the staff of the restaurant allegedly didn’t do anything to stop the man from vaping, even when asked to.

They wrote, “Vape first. I talked to the staff and told them to talk to the smoker (or in this case, vaper). The staff ignored me. It’s the responsibility of the staff to not let this happen in an indoor restaurant.”

In the images showcased, the man could clearly be seen vaping in the restaurant.

The general public has since shared they opinions on this matter, calling for the authorities to take the appropriate action.

We do genuinely hope that the authorities increase their enforcement on this matter as more and more people have been blatantly smoking at eateries, without much consideration for the people around them.
