Some bosses can be a nightmare…

Especially in the world of domestic work, horrifying stories of abusive employers making headlines are not uncommon.

Thankfully, there have also been wholesome stories of domestic helpers getting great gifts from their bosses and this time around we’re bringing you just that!

Recently, private equity and textile entrepreneur Farah Wenn treated her 3 maids to a RM10k Raya bonus EACH, throwing in a luxurious island vacation for them equipped with a helicopter ride.

That’s a pretty huge gift right?! Certainly netizens think so as Farah’s TikTok of the vacation went viral with 1.7m views and over 140k likes.

In the video, the helpers were flown via helicopter to Desaru Coast, Johor Bharu and stayed in their own private suite at One & Only Resort.

Speaking exclusively to WORLD OF BUZZ, Farah said that she gives her maids a Raya vacation yearly to make them feel appreciated.

Her maids have been working with her for almost 4 years and she says that they “have been part of the family especially in handling kids and house chores.”

Farah says she wants them to be happy during Ramadhan because this is the time when they’ll miss their family the most.

When asked how her maids felt with the Raya bonus, she says that they were “surprised, happy and thankful. They look motivated to work.”

For last year’s Raya gift, she gave them each a RM5k bonus with a staycation at Grand Hyatt Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

Watch the island getaway video below!

We’re glad to hear that the 3 maids are happy with their Raya bonus.
