Raising a child with special needs brings unique and tough challenges. Despite all this, parents often show incredible strength, love, and commitment to giving their children the best support and opportunities to grow and thrive.
In a recent video shared by @madahmawaddahh0, she captures a touching moment between her father and her special needs child as he patiently teaches his grandson how to walk.
A grandparent’s love is beyond imagination
In the video, the grandfather comes up with a clever way to help his grandchild learn to walk where he creates his own invention where the child holds onto a modified stool for support while taking steps around it.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Madah shared how her son, Haider, has been cared for by his grandparents, whom they refer to as Atok and Atah.
Walking aid that was made from discarded items!
Mada shared how during the doctor’s check-up, the doctor was surprised that Haider still couldn’t walk, even though he was already 2 years and 5 months old.
Atok felt sad about Haider’s development, so he quickly made a device to help Haider learn to walk. Mada continued to share how the walking aid for Haider was made from discarded items, specifically a rotating stool.
“Atok just added some wood handles and a spot to put a tablet. The tablet is important because it distracts Haider,” she added.
Atok’s love for Haider is extraordinary!
Mada mentioned that she records most of Haider’s videos to update her husband on his developments, as they are in a long-distance relationship, which is why there are many videos.
She went on to share how Atok has created several inventions, including bed guards, bathing areas, washout spots, and Haider’s clothes rack.
“People might think his inventions are ordinary. But Atok makes them out of pure love for his grandson, and to me, that’s truly extraordinary. Treasure and appreciate those closest to us, especially our parents, because they’re always there for us no matter what. Recognise how important they are while we still have them around.”
