Grandfather in China Dances & Sells Bottles on TikTok Live to Raise Funds for Grandson’s Medical Bill

A charming grandfather who made waves on Douyin with his funky dance moves has tickled many netizens’ hearts. You could spot him in his signature glasses, shimmying to energetic songs while holding a bunch of water bottles. He was an unlikely internet sensation, capturing the hearts of millions with his endearing goofiness. But little did people know, there was a heartbreaking reason behind his joyful antics.

And grab a tissue, your eyes will cry a river.

Just look at those moves!

Anyways moving on to the (melancholic) part, the grandfather was doing all this to raise funds and awareness for his three-year-old grandchild who suffered from a spine-related disease. The medical bills were piling up, and he knew he had to do something to help his family.

The parents of the child took turn to take care of him.

“The whole family is waiting for you to sit up, and eat together with us soon.”

As he continued to dance and sell water bottles, the grandfather’s story got viral. People tuned in to watch his live session on Douyin and were entertained by his moves. Many supported him and sales kept coming in.

Despite the hardship he faced, the grandfather never lost his spirit. He remained positive and continued to entertain, knowing that his efforts were making a difference in his grandchild’s life. His live videos became more than just viral sensations; they became symbols of hope and resilience.

But even with the outpouring of support, the grandfather knew that his grandchild’s journey was far from over. The medical treatments were ongoing, and there were still hurdles to overcome. However, he was grateful for the kindness of strangers and the love of his family.
