Following the Microsoft Windows ‘Crowdstrike’ issue that has caused major service outages globally, including flight cancellations in KLIA and airports worldwide, it seems that our local train services are also affected.

This is after KTMB announced that its ticketing system and all customer service channels are currently down.

Taking to its official Facebook page, KTMB said that its Integrated Ticketing System (KITS) is currently experiencing technical disruptions due to the Crowdstrike issue.

For context, KITS is the online ticketing system used by KTMB for its ETS, KTM Intercity, KTM Komuter Northern Sector and KTM Komuter Klang Valley Sector, whereby users can use the system via the KTMB Mobile app.

Furthermore, KITS also allows you to use the KTM Komuter services using QR codes.

The railway company stressed that restoration works are actively underway and apologised for any inconvenience caused.

Furthermore, the company urges KTMB Mobile app users to restart their mobile phones and try to reaccess the app.
