In the post, KTMB stressed that all types of bicycles are not permitted into ETS and KTM Intercity trains, with the onboard facilities and seating being designated for passengers and luggage only.

In the comments section of the post, KTMB further expanded on the notice and clarified a few queries by Malaysians on the ban on bicycles.

1stly, bicycles are only not permitted on ETS and KTM Intercity trains, with KTM Komuter trains still allowing passengers to bring bicycles during the designated times, which we will elaborate on further later in the article.

Moreover, KTMB is serious when it says that all types of bicycles are not permitted into ETS and KTM Intercity trains, asserting that even bicycles for toddlers, tricycles, electric bicycles or even folding bicycles put inside a bag are not permitted.

Passengers who are still adamant about bringing bicycles will be barred from entering the train

Besides that, KTMB also asserted that passengers who are adamant about bringing bicycles into ETS and KTM Intercity trains will be barred from entering the train.

Not only that, they will also not have their ticket fares refunded.

In relation to that, KTMB said that they won’t offer any compound to allow for bicycles to be brought inside the 2 train services.

Passengers can still bring bicycles on KTM Komuter trains at the designated times

With that in mind, KTMB still allows passengers to bring their bicycles on KTM Komuter trains on both Klang Valley and Northern Sector routes.

However, this is subject to terms and conditions and the designated schedule for each route, which you can find out more about here.
