One thing we’ve noticed is that when times get tough, Malaysians are always ready to sacrifice and assist others in need.
A prime example of this is when a Malaysian couple decided to feed an entire road full of stranded travellers.
Kakmi ps guangzhou took to her Twitter profile to showcase how her parents-in-law chose to make ikan bakar by the side of the road for everyone stranded on the road near Kuala Lipis – Raub. They initially packed the fishes for their friends at the Kenyir Eco Resort.
She wrote, “Alhamdulillah, everyone is safe. My parents-in-law were stranded near Kuala Lipis – Raub for 24 hours. There was no food but luckily they were just heading back from the Kenyir Eco Resort, with fishes they were bringing back for their friends. They got to share it with those stranded together with them.”
Using whatever nature can provide and items they could find on themselves, they built a makeshift grill to cook the fishes. Some of the others who were stranded helped too!
“Look at the happy faces of those who got to eat. Abah and a few other guys searched for wood to grill the fishes. Thank you, Malaysians,” she added.
It’s so refreshing to see how Malaysians are willing to step up, take initiative, and share their food and blessings with others.
We genuinely hope that everyone will continue with this attitude of helping and sharing.
