Despite the transition into endemicity, there’s no excuse for us to start ditching the SOPs as the Covid-19 virus is still around. Just today (August 31), while the nation is celebrating the 65th Independence Day, Tun Dr. Mahathir has been diagnosed with Covid-19.

Tun M 1

According to a statement released on the former Prime Minister’s Facebook page, Tun M has been admitted to the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur earlier this morning following his diagnosis. He is expected to be under observation for a few days there, as suggested by his medical team.

At the time of writing, Tun M has yet to update on his current condition. Malaysians have since commented on his Facebook page to express their sympathy and wish him well.

Regardless, we wish Tun M a speedy recovery! This shall serve as a reminder to the people out there to keep following the SOPs to curb the spread of the virus.
