Yesterday, we reported that a man in Johor tried to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge on Tuesday night. Thankfully, fast-thinking firefighters managed to get him to safety by offering him a cigarette.

Well, yesterday evening (6 Mar) at 5.30pm, the 30-year-old man was spotted on the Sultan Ismail bridge again, standing outside the railing over the Muar river (5 Mar).

The authorities were alerted once more and rushed to save his life yet again, deploying officers and even scrambling a boat to save the victim. However, this time, the man managed to jump into the river.

It is also sad to note that he returned to the bridge again in less than 24 hours after being talked down by our abang bomba the day before.

In the footage below shared exclusively with WORLD OF BUZZ, you can see the police boat arriving in the nick of time as the man hits the waters.

The man bobs about in the river as the police throws him a life preserver. But honestly? We’re just glad the man survived.
