Nothing is stronger than Malaysians when we’re all united.
A viral video originally posted on Xiao Hong Shu (RED) by @有狐綏綏 showed Malaysians on board the LRT train banding together to sing the iconic “Balik Kampung.” Many of them were dressed in traditional outfits, with most of the men hanging a sarong over their shoulders.
It is believed that they were en route to the annual Keretapi Sarong event, which happened yesterday (September 14), not to mention the long weekend that commenced yesterday.
“It’s cute when Malaysians are united, today’s ride was worth,” the social media wrote on her post.
One of the excited Malaysians even brought his sound system and connected his microphone to a speaker to elevate the spirit of the moving train. The crowds, including Malaysians of all races, happily sang along during this rare event, making the situation even more lively.
In a report by Sin Chew, the woman said she was taking the LRT to her destination, and based on her observation, the crowds didn’t just sing along; some even swayed along with the rhythm of the song.
Let’s put the huge mess of politics aside. Without them, Malaysians are united under most circumstances.
To those who attended the event or those who took the LRT train yesterday, did you happen to spot the “mini concert”?
