Viral on social media, this video of a man setting off fireworks in the middle of MRR2 has caused quite a stir amongst netizens.

Taking place nearby the MRR2 stretch in front of Tesco Ampang (now Lotus), the one-minute video witnessed a middle-age man setting off a Merdeka-like fireworks display amidst heavy traffic.

Condemning the man for his actions, many agreed that this person should be celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri in a cell, for endangering the public.

Here are some of the choice comments shared by netizens on social media.

“Signs of a person who wants to celebrate raya in a cell.”

5 002

“This is what you get for legalising fireworks.”

With netizens unimpressed, let’s hope that the authorities will do something about this.
